DEATH OF MRS. BRILES

Mrs. Dovie M. Briles, widow of Henry Briles, died at her home in Scott township on Saturday, the 28th wit. The deceased had been in ill health for about six years, but her death was the result of a severe case of lagrippe (early name for influenza) contracted only a few weeks ago.

She was the mother of nine children, two of whom survive Elijah & George, Nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive to mourn her demise.

The funeral was held on Monday the 30th wit. at Potato Run church and the funeral discourse delivered by Rev. Seymour. Mrs. B was seventy-eight year of age and a member of the U.B. church.
