Adam DODDS and Rebecca FRENCH are my 3rd Great Grandparents. My line runs through their daughter Elizabeth who married Joseph ANDERSON.

ADAM DODDS & REBECCA FRENCH, HARRISON CO., INDIANA

Adam Douglas DODDS was born 18 Sep 1795 in England, and died 08 Apr 1879 in Harrison Co., IN. He was the son of Anthony DODDS and Eleanor DOUGLAS. He married Rebecca FRENCH on 12 Feb 1820 in Harrison Co., IN. She was the daughter of Paul FRENCH and Lucy ABLE. She was born 07 Aug 1802 in KY, and died 30 Mar 1876 in Laconia, Harrison Co., IN. Adam and Rebecca are buried in King's Cemetery, Laconia, Harrison Co., IN. Known children of Adam DODDS and Rebecca FRENCH are:

1. Lucy Ellen DODDS was born on 21 Nov 1820. She married Washington L. COLEMAN on 27 Oct 1850.

2. Elizabeth DODDS ws born on. 21 Oct 1822 in Laconia, Harrison Co., IN. She died 21 Dec 1876 in Laconia, Harrison Co., IN. She married Joseph M. ANDERSON on 26 Nov 1844.

3. Eleanor DODDS was born on 20 Sep 1826 and died 04 Sep 1846, Harrison Co., IN. She is buried in: King's Cemetery, Laconia, Harrison Co., IN.

4. Rebecca Jane DODDS was born on 07 Sep 1827, Harrison Co., IN and died in 1911, Harrison Co., IN. She married Louis BYRUM on 24 Apr 1851.

5. Minerva D. DODDS was born on 02 Jun 1830, Harrison Co., IN and died on 09 Nov 1835, Harrison Co., IN. She is buried in King's Cemetery, Laconia, Harrison Co., IN.

6. Margaret DODDS, b. 02 May 1832, Harrison Co., IN; d. 28 Oct 1835, Harrison Co., IN. Burial: King's Cemetery, Laconia, Harrison Co., IN.

7. Anthony DODDS, b. 20 Oct 1834, Harrison Co., IN; d. 08 Dec 1870, Harrison Co., IN. He married Elizabeth C. BROWN on 30 Jun 1857.

8. Nancy DODDS was born on 19 Mar 1837, Harrison Co., IN. She married Stephen ROBINSON on 3 Jan 1865.

9. Amanda DODDS was born on 12 Mar 1840, Harrison Co., IN and died on 17 May 1927, Harrison Co., IN. She married John BOONE on 18 Jan 1863. John is the son of Craven BOONE.

On 12 Apr 1819 George ARMSTRONG deeded to Adam D. DODDS, 49.44 acres in the Southeast corner of Section 5, Township 6, Range 4. This land is on the west side of the road halfway between Laconia and Tobacco Landing.
