This indenture, made this sixteenth day of July in the year of our Lord , one thousand eight hundred and fifty. Between Thomas Chackley and Elizabeth C. Chackley his wife, of the County of Clark and state of Indiana of the one part, and Richard Mackison of the City of Louisville, Kentucky of the other part. Witnessith that the said Thomas Chackley and Elizabeth C., his wife, for and in consideration of the sum of seven hundred and fifty dollars current money of the United States to them in hand paid by the said Mackison, the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge and therefore do release seequit and discharge the said Richard Mackison, his heirs, executors and administrators. And by these presepts doth grant, bargain, sell alien, release, convey and confirm and have granted, conveyed and confirmed unto the said Richard Mackison his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land, situated, lying and being in the County of Clark and State of Indiana being the South West quarter section of Section Thirty in Township two, north of Range Seven East in the district of lands subject to sale at Jeffersonville, Indiana. Containing one hundred and sixty acres. Together with all the rights improvements hereditaments and appurtenences whatsoever, thereunto belonging or in anywise sepportaining and the remissions, remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof. Also all the estate, right title, interest use in property claim and demand whatsoever of them the said Thomas Chackley and Elizabeth Catherine his wife in law or equity of and in the premises aforesaid and every hoest there of. To Have and to hold all and singular the premises with the seppurtenenies hereby granted unto the said Richard Mackison his heirs and assigns to the only proper use and behoof of the said Richard Mackison his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Thomas Chackley and Elizabeth his wife doth covenant with the said Richard Mackison for themselves and their heirs that they have good right to convey said land to said Richard Mackison in manner and form aforesaid and that the said land is free from all incumbrances whatsoever, and lastly that the said Thomas Chackley and Elizabeth Catharine his wife and their heirs all and singular the premises hereby granted with their seppurtenances unto the said Richard Mckison his heirs and assigns against the said Thomas Chackley and Elizabeth Catherine his wife and their heirs and all and every other person or persons shall warrant and forever defend by these presepts. In testimony whereof the said Thomas Chackley & Elizabeth C. his wife have here unto sat their hands and seals the day and year first above written.

Personally appeared before me, Jesse St.Clair a Justice of the peace in and for said County, Thomas Chackley and Elizabeth Catharine Chackley his wife the above named and foregoing grantors and verbally acknowledged the foregoing Indentine to be their volition Act and deed for the use and purpose herein expressed, and the said Elizabeth Catherine Chackley wife of the said Thomas Chackley being by me exercised separate apart and out of hearing of her said husband and the contents of said Indenture being read and fully explained to her at that time, She declared that she sealed and signed and delivered the same of her own free will and discord with out any coercion or compulsion from her said husband. Given under my hand and seal this 16th day of July A.D. 1850.
