Kentuckiana Genealogy: County: Crawford Co., Indiana: Zachariah Brown

I have some information on Zachariah Houston Brown, b 29 Mar 1842 Crawford Cty., d. 4 Sep 1911, bur English Cemetary. I need to know if anyone can find stable info as to whether or not his father was Zachariah Nicholas Brown, a name I have never come across before. All of my info leads to either John, Samuel, Jehu, or James, of which there are so many. Some leads say Z.N. is the father of Z.H., others say he is an uncle. Also, some info says his mother was Mary Haws, other says Mary"Polly" Tilman. (What's the deal with Mary"Polly" anyways?) Please help. Thanks.... Mendy
