This probably will not add much but my father wrote a book about N.E. Dubois County. In the book on page 5 he indicates "the first land entry in what was to become Dubois County was made in 1807 by Toussaint Dubois." Also on page 122 Capt. Toussaint Dubois among other military men passed through the Buffalo Trace. The book also lists nine Goodmans and one Foster.

Looking for information on Alexander H Foster m Margaret Goodman in Dubois co 1824 no more info on him. He went to Tx in 1826-27.
Looking for information on Touissant Dubois who was the Troop Commander in the War of 1812 for my gggg grandfather Wm Smeathers and his Batallion of Spy Troops. any info would be appreciated, thank you
