Would be interested in your connections to the Adkisson family. My 2-gr-grandparents were married in New Albany Feb 1834 (John D. Atkisson and Elizabeth McCain). John had a brother, Joseph, who remained in New Albany and had 2 daughters - do not know what became of them.

I am researching the Garner family. In particular I am searching for the parents of Andrew Garner and also the parents of his wife Mary Ann Mills.
According to information I have, ANDREW (Jackson?) GARNER was born in TN c.1812.
Andrew married MARY ANN MILLS who was born c.1819 in IN. Their marriage took place in Floyd Co. on 11/19/1835.
Andrew and Mary can be found in the 11/12/1850 census for Owen County, IN in the district of Clay Township. THEIR CHILDREN ARE listed as James, John, Joseph, Mary A., Isaac, and Anderson. I am descended through their son, John (Lemuel) Garner, who married Margaret Strader(who was born in Terre Haute, IN and was the daughter of William Strader and Mary Ann Beckett.) Other related lines to present day also include Valentine and Adkisson among others.
