Kentuckiana Genealogy: County: Jefferson Co., Kentucky: Looking for information on ggrandfather larry ladd

i have found no information on my ggrandfather, larry ladd sr. whom possible came from watertown new york. he married my ggrandmother genevieve stockett and passed away 6-23-53 before i was born. no one is alive to tell where to find information on him or where records might be concerning him and his family. they had 1 daughter, margie ladd and a son larry ladd jr. all lived in louisville kentucky and i need to know if anyone might be able to help me. i can not even find his death records in the obits on line. susan mead
