Researching my Anthony line of Crawford County. Sarah Anthony married John Grant in 1872 in Perry County, Indiana. The 1880 Crawford County census shows John and Sarah with four children, William H., age 7, Nancy H., age 4, John, age 1, and Jennie, age one month. This family does not appear in the 1900 Crawford County census, although there is a William Grant, age 27, who could be the son of John and Sarah Grant. A Nancy H. Grant married a Charles Lankford in Crawford County in 1892. The Orange County marriage records shows a Janie Grant and William Freed married in 1905. Janie gave her parents as John Grant and Sarah Anthony on the marriage application. The 1910 Orange County census shows a William and Jennie Freed, with two daughters, living in Northast Township.
