Mary Ann HELM, born 1830 in KY, daughter of Thomas and Frances (Mnu) HELM, married William R. FLOWERS.

Mary E. Gilliland did not marry a FLOWERS; she was nine years old at the time of the marriage.
She married Robert H. Clardy in 1858 in Van Zandt County, Texas.

Looking for William Gilliland, b. about 1801 in KY. He married Frances Bridges, b. 1801 in NC. They had at least two daughters; Elzira and Mary Ann. Elzira married William B. Clardy, Mary Ann married William Flowers who was born 1822 in KY. William and Frances Gilliland show up on the 1850 census for Henderson Co. TX. There are three children living in the home of Wm. B. and Frances Gilliland, John L., Wm. Blanton, and Mary Ann Flowers. John L. was born 1843 in KY. Would like to know why these children are living with the Gilliland family. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
