Looking for further documentation on Nathaniel VAUGHN who died April 1821 in Palestine, Lawrence Co., IN. He was my gggg-grandfather. His wife's name is still unknown.

He was originally from Grayson Co., VA and was either a son of Thomas VAUGHN or a son of Thomas's son, William VAUGHN, Sr. The Grayson Co., VA VAUGHN family was originally from Hanover, Montgomery & Wythe Cos., VA.

Nathaniel left Grayson Co., VA abt 1804 and headed to Madison Co., KY by 1805 per tax lists and other land records. His children married in Garrard Co., KY. I believe his lands were in Madison Co. while their church was in Garrard Co., KY.

Nathaniel VAUGHN, along with his son, James Alfred VAUGHN [his wife = Sarah Jane CRAWFORD m. 1816 Garrard Co., KY = 1 son] left KY abt 1818 and went to Palestine, Lawrence Co., IN. Nathaiel's 1820 IN census record is: 011301--0001.

Son, Thomas VAUGHN, was married and stayed in Madison Co., KY.

Looking for Amanda Younger married William W. Ferguson approx 1820s. They would be my gggrandparents. Lived in Erie, IN. had 9 children. Family Moved to town in Bedford IN Family record shows Lawrence Co.

I am looking for info. on Elisha Simpson, where/when born. How he came to Indiana? Children?
I believe he had a son named Noah Simpson who came
out to california. This is my G-G-G-G-Grandfather who came to Ca. about 1850. Please any info would be greatly appreciated.
