John Bell Bullitt County males
2- under 10 years old, 1- of 10 and under 16,
1- of 16 and under 26
females

Formation of Kentucky County, Va
In 1777 Fincastle County, Virginia's General Assembly divided Fincastle County into three parts and created Washington, Montgomery, and Kentucky Counties.
In 1780, Kentucky County was divided into three counties -- Jefferson, Fayette, and Lincoln. Within just a few years, six more counties had been carved out of those three. And on 1 June 1792, those nine counties became a state.

Does anyone have any information regarding any Bells that may have lived in Bullitt Co.KY in the middle to late 1780's? It was probably either Jefferson or Nelson Co. at that time period. Looking, in particular, for John Bell and family. The family later lived in Hardin Co,Ky.
