Still looking for information for family of Harvey and Louisa Crist McCoy of Perry County, Indiana 1840-1850; and Appanoose/Moravia Counties in Iowa 1850- to present.
Have connections made with several lines down from Harvey and Louisa. Would love to get back beyond Harvey and Louisa. Know Louisa was dau of John and Nancy Crist- they are buried in Moravia Iowa area.

Several items:
The first, was there ever a "Hippo Township" in Perry County? Any names that could have been mistaken for "Hippo"? Family notes refer to the twp. as birth place of the first children born to Harvey and Louisa CRIST McCOY (Mathias, Jehu Hardy Mc, John Riggs Mc, and Lewis Mc) were born 1842-48.
Also, looking for parents/sibs/family of Harvey McCOY, b. 1813 VA, first Perry co. auditor(1841), m. Louisa Crist dau of John and Nancy Crist 1842, Perry Co. Family moved to Moravia, Appanoose Co Iowa circa 1850. Children Malissa (Pence), Isaac Madison Mc, Aristarkus, and Lycurgus Mc born there (1853-1860).
