Hi I am looking for information on Charles (Charley) (C.J) Reiger born in Kentucky in 1858. He was living in Jefferson County, Lower Ponds Precinct in 1870. Father was John Reiger and mother Margaret (or Myriam Nash).

What happened to the parents? All the children were placed in homes and we don't know why. My grandfather was Charley who was the oldest. He ran away to another state.

How did the parents die or what happened that the children were placed with various families?
