Been looking over 3 yrs for Margaret Goodman m Archibald Jacob Smeathers in Daviess Co 7-22-1824 information. this is all I know of her. They only had 1 child, a dau Mary Jane Smithers m Alexander H Foster Dubois co Nov 13 1842 no other info on him. MJ went to Tx in 1853 to be with her father. Her mother, Margaret died when MJ was 13 months old. In a letter of 1910 MJ says she was raised by the Goodman's of In. Archibald left for Tx abt 1826. MJ was born Sept 11 1825 in Dubois Co. Archibald's father was Wm Smeathers, he went to Tx in 1821 and Archibald met up with him in Lavaca co Tx where they had a land grant in Dewitt Colony. Any information would be appreciated, thank you.
