I was scanning old postings when I noticed your query concerning Jacksonville, IN. Jacksonville is a real place in Switzerland County, IN. I don't know what this "town" was like in early years, but right now it consists of a few houses (less than five) and a cemetery. It is located on State Road 56 (I think that's the correct road number) between Vevay and East Enterprise.

I believe there is also a Jacksonville on the western side of Indiana (near Terre Haute), but you are probably wanting the one in Switzerland County.
