My grandfather, Thomas Jefferson Bibb, was born 18 May 1867 in Carroll Co., KY. He was adopted by James Harrison and Mary Jane (Barkdoll) Bibb (both born Indiana) between 1870 & 1880. He married my grandmother, Sallie Monroe, 31 July 1890 in Madison, Jefferson County, IN. He served in the Spanish-American War in Cuba. He died 07 March 1917 in Marion, IN at the Veterans Hospital and is buried there. He claimed for a brother, William Madison Gibson, born Trimble Co., KY in September 1859. I have traced William from the cradle to the grave and cannot connect them as brothers. William's father died 7 years before Thomas was born. Need help in solving this mystery! Thanks in advance.
