Walter Albert Cameron m. Elizabeth Cramblitt Hickle 24 Dec 1887 in Ames, IA. On the marriage application Walter stated that his father was Jonathan Cameron and his mother Nancy G. Wilson. Birth year 1851. Occupation carpenter. Born in KY. Ceremony performed by H. W. Wilson, Baptist minister; witness Mrs. H. W. Wilson (family?). Walter was sent away before their son, Forrest Dean was born 16 May 1889. He must have done something very bad for her to do that. She still cried for him 40 years later. All she ever said about him is that he slept with a gun under his pillow. Forrest (my grandfather) looked for his father his whole life, with no success. Does anyone have any clues?
