I'm looking for info about the "Gray" family. What we have is that John Gray (my great grandfatehr) was born in Meade county, KY on Feb 9, 1826. In 1829 he went to Harrison Co. Indiana, remaining there until the age of 25, when he removed to IL. He married Nancy Hunter in Harrison co. IN on Oct 2 1849. I do not have John Gray's parents names. The family farmed and I don't know how long they were in KY. I think he had a brother Phillip Gray and a sister who married Charles Coleman. Thank you for any help you can give me. Fran

I descend from the William Hardin and Lydia listed, but I am puzzled by the name Hahn associated with her. Could it be Ann which I believe was her middle name. But she has been a real puzzle to Hardin researchers. She is the daughter of Rebecca Hardin who was the daughter of Robert Hardin and Eleanor Sherrill. She married her first cousin William R. Hardin, who was the son of Stephen, the son of Robert and Eleanor. But the problem comes from the name Lydia Philpott which appears on their marriage record in Meade Co. No one knows where the Philpott name comes from. Was she an illegitimate child of Rebecca and a Philpott? Rebecca's sister, Emeline, married a John F. Philpott. Later Rebecca married Robert Riddle and had 6 children. Or had Lydia perhaps married a Philpott before marrying William R. Hardin? Just wondering if you might have some information about her?.

I am interested in the Hahn that Mr. Graham refers to. My grandmother was a hardin and the Hahns intertwine. In the 1853 birth messages posted there is a Sarah Curl the daughter of William Curl and Mahala. I am interested in tracing William back. His name is William S.
