My mother's maiden name was Payton. Her father's
name was Charles Franklin Payton, and was born in
1880 in Miami, Missouri. His father was Franklin
Payton from Versailes, Kentucky.
My mother's paternal grandmother was Mary Margaret
(Johnson)Payton, who died in 1917 in Kansas City,
Missouri.
