Seeking information on John Gabriel Maupin FLOYD, son of George Rogers Clark FLOYD and Maria MAUPIN, b. 1807 d. 1868. John entered West Point Military Academy in 1824 as a member of the class of 1828, but did not graduate. He married Ann Elizabeth HAGAR in 1839, and had at least one daughter, Grace FLOYD. His granddaughter, Louise Grace JENCKES b. 1878 was admitted to DAR.

I believe John had three half siblings from the marriage of of George Rogers Clark FLOYD to Sarah "Sallie" FONTAINE: Jane Buchanan Floyd, Matilda Floyd and Georgian Floyd. Jane supposedly married a Penn from Virginia and lived in Iowa.
