Searching for information on H. B. Smith, who is listed in the Charlestown 1860 Census as Horace Smith. He was a mulatto gentleman who was also a Methodist Episcopal clergyman. His birthplace is listed as KY, approx. in 1808. His wife's name was Rachel, black, birthplace listed in Indiana.She was 20+ years younger than Mr. Smith. 3 children were listed on this census.Any information or direction would be greatly appreciated!
