By Belinda Gail Bishop (208.4.221.15) on Saturday, January 17, 2004 - 04:50 pm: |
I am seeking information on The Bloody Bucket in the city of Jackson. My Great Great Grandfather was Jeremiah "Jerry" Bryant. Family stores say he was once the owner/operator or The Bloody Bucket. I would like to know if this is true.
Thank You

I am seeking information about the decendents of Ellen and Samuel Noble of Breathitt County. They had 10 children and had a farm on the north fork of the Kentucky River from about 1900 until 1960's. Ellen was named a Kentucky Colonel when she turned 100 in 1971. My father was Brack Howard Noble, 7th child. I live in Darwin Australia and can be contacted at maryannnoble@hotmail.com.

At one point my grandfather and/or his parents once owned the saloon, where they bootlegged moonshine. My grandfather is ill now and somewhat out of his mind however he has several stories. It is my understanding that his family owned the saloon in the late 1930's-1950's. Thier last name is Thomas.

Hey everyone, my name is Tony Barnett. My aunt Emma(Burrows) has owned the bloody bucket for about 30 years or so. It was turned into a home-spooky one at that. My mom moved us kids to Michigan while almost everyone else in the family stayed in Breathitt. My mom was Eunice Jones. Whenever we went back home to visit we always stayed with Em and her kids. Well, now and then we'd stay with my uncle Carly(Jones) up in South Fork. Em still owns the bucket. She lives next door in a trailer while two of her kids(Sam and Sheila) still live in the bucket. The place is a bright purple now! It was done intentionally because so many of her tenants were dying...she joked that it'll stand out better for the amblance to find the place. So you have a definate answer-the "Blody Bucket" is owned by Emma Jones/Burrows/Robertson.
