I am a great-great grandson of Elisha Cragun. His son, Hyrum, is my great grandfather.
Elisha came to Indiana from Sullivan County, TN in 1814 and brought his family to Boone from Rush County in 1835. As far as we know, Patrick did not make the move to IN. There is a legend that Elisha returned to Sullivan County after Patrick's death and brought his body back to IN for burial; however, there is no record of Patricks burial in Boone County, IN. The best source of information about Patrick's line is found in the book: PATRICK CRAGUN DESCENDANTS IN AMERICA written by Eva L. Cragun Heiner and published in 1969 by J. Grant Stevenson in Provo, Utah. I hope this information helps.
