Kentuckiana Genealogy: Out Of Area: Boone Co., IN: Lapham family- early settlers?

I am seeking info about Polly Lapham (married: Polly Lapham-Chinokee), daughte of Hiram (?) or Hamilton (?) Lapham.
Family oral history says Lapham was granted land in Boone county Indiana in the 1800's. He helped to Christianize the local Potawatomi indians and encouraged his daughter Polly to marry his first convert, Charles Chinakee. The Lapham farm was sold around 1895. Any info or corrections about the Lapham family history would be much appreciated! Thanks!

I have an Ira Lapham, son of Hamblam/Hamilton, who married Margaret Thornley. They had a son they named Charles Chinakee Lapham, born 1856 in IL. I'm not sure if Polly is a sister of Ira's since it's typically a nickname.
