1834 – Spring 1834 – Jacob Sr. moves to (buys land?) in Boone Co., IN
1834 – Apr 1, 1834 - Jacob Jones marries Catherine Danes in Boone Co., Indiana

1852 – Mar 15, 1852 - Oregon Trail - Jacob and sons leave Northfield, Indiana.
· 46 in party, led by Jacob Jones
· 52 covered wagons (51 owned by Jones family)
· Each wagon drawn by 3 or 4 yoke of oxen. 150 oxen total.
· Northfield, IN crossed Missouri River at Council Bluffs to Platte river
· Lost 5 members (Cholera) of the party on Oregon Trail.
· Lydia Jones, Cynthia Ann Jones, Sarah Jones, William Lemley Jones, Mark Dugan
1852 – Jun 26, 1852 - Oregon Trail – Cynthia Ann Jones died crossing plains.
Cynthia Ann Jones was XX years at time of death.
1852 – July 1852 - Oregon Trail - Lydia Jones* (Gouge) died crossing plains.

1853- Jacob Jones settles on his Donation Land Claim in Doulgas County Oregon. To this day you can see his ranch and large house (owned to Don and Betty Bailey) on Jones Rd. in Melrose(Roseburg), Oregon.
