I am looking for information on the families of Ferguson and Proffitt who lived near Thornton, Boone Co. in the 1800's. Some of the members of these two families migrated to Nebraska by 1890.
They married into the families of Plunket, Davis, Whited and Beasley, either in Indiana or NE.
Ferguson son Aaron is of most interest as his sons Jesse and Franklin moved to Ne. together with their cousin Peter in about 1880. Trying to find the father of Aaron. I suspect he may have been Moses, but don't know for sure.
