I am descended from Elisha Cragun Beeman. I just found a letter from George Beeman that said that Elisha fought in the Civil War.

Does any one know what unit he was in? Are there any letters or diaries from in still in existence?

I found..Elisha C. Beeman, Lebanon, Indiana...Enlisted as privated on 14 Nov 1864, Co H. 26th Indiana Infantry regiment.Mustered out: 13 November 1865.
