Searching for info on GEORGE GERHARD HORNUNG,b1812 and wife MATILDA HIRT who came to US from Germany in 1853. Settled in Clark Cty.1860 census/Carr township. Brought seven children with them and had four more after that. Births ranging 1839 to 1861. KORDULA(Cordelia?),ROSINE,LEOPOLD, THEODORE, LOUISE, FRANCES,VINCENT,GERHARD,JOHANNA,CATHERINE AND FRANCISCUM(Frank)who was my grandfather. FRANK (Franciscum) b1861 married MARGARET MEIER (Meyer) daughter of JOSEPH MEIER and CATHERINE ENGLE MEIER. Some of these people lived in Albany, Ind and Louisville, Ky.also. Any information would be appreciated.
