John M. Shepherd along with his brother Joseph settled in Grayson County, KY, in the very early 1800's. Another brother, William lived in Henry Co., KY, and died there in 1824. All brothers were born in MD, city unknown. John B. Shepherd d. in Meade Co., KY, in 1847 and very soon after his death his widow and children moved to Jasper County, IL.
