of the 23rd Regiment of the Indiana foot vols.
From the 31st day of December 1861
to the 28th of February, 1862
"I certify on honor that this Muster Roll is made out in the manner required by the printed notes; that it exhibits the true state of Captain David S. Kay's Company C of the Twenty -third regiment of the Indiana foot volunteers for the period herein mentioned: that the "remarks" set opposite the name of each officer and soldier are accurate and just; and that the "Recapitulation" exhibits in every particular the tru state of the Company as required by Regulations and the Rules and Articles of War
