Alton - Peter R. Fullenwider, son of Robert H. and Elizabeth Frans J. Fullenwider, was born at Alton, September 6, 1873 and died at Cartersburg, February 8, 1946, aged 72 years, 6 months and 2 days.

He was married on October 4, 1906 to Ida Riddle, who preceded him in death August 17, 1930. To this union nine children were born: Katherine died in infancy. Surviving are: Mrs Mildred Quinn, of Cartersburg; Eleanor, of Earl Park; Julia, of Indianapolis; Rice M., of Washington State; Harry L., of Crown Point; Edwin, of the U.S. Navy; Robert and Frans, of Alton. He is also survived by one brother, Henry, of Alton; three sisters, Mrs H.H. Deen, of Leavenworth; Mrs Mary F. Spindler and Mrs Sallie F. Wood, of Alton; eight grandchildren and many other relatives.

Early in life he affiliated with the Alton Methodist church and remained true to his faith until the end. He was a long time member of the Masonic fraternity. Practically his whole life was spent at the place of his birth. The last few months of his life was spent with his daughter, Mrs Mildred Quinn, at Cartersburg.
