Dies In Illinois - Mrs Joanna Newkirk, 98, died at El Paso, Ill., on February 15. She was born at Leavenworth in 1849, the daughter of Levi and Melinda Gerard Wood. In 1866, she married Marshall Newkirk at Anderson and they moved to El Paso in 1904. Ten of the 15 children born to them survive. Mr Newkirk preceded her in death.
