John Marksberry and Cathine Franks are my grandparents. John's grandfather is Samuel Marksbury 3rd and his father is Samuel 2nd and his father is Samuel Douglas Marksbury. Samuel Douglas Great-great grandfather is Sr. William Douglas. Server under King James II. You could write to me and I could tell where you could get the whole story.

Update on John Hensley Marksberry. He was the son of Hensley Marksberry and Peggy Jump. Hensley was the son of John Marksberry and Catherine "Caty" Franks. Emily "Courtney" Wilson was the daughter of Hiram Wilson and Mary Emily "Courtney" Webster. Hiram Wilson was the son of Samuel Wilson and Elizabeth "Betty" Clark.

John Hensley Marksberry and wife Emily "Courtney"Wilson were listed on the 1860 Grant Co.,Ky. census. They were in Louisville, Jefferson Co.,Ky. 1864 when their son,Alfred Marksberry was born. What became of John Hensley Marksberry. Did he die in Louisville? Wife Emily "Courtney"Wilson later married John Conn and they moved to Bryan Co.,Ok.
Any help would be appreciated.
