My Belgian ancestors (HUBERTs--pronounced oo-BAIR and
often spelled HUBER/HUBAR) settled in the Franklin and
Posey townships of Harrison County in the 1830s.
They had ties with Louisville, as well.
Also looking for the French FREVILLEs, who came to the
USA in 1840s. Have found lots of FRAVELs, FRAVILLs and
alternate spellings in Harrison County records.
Can these be related to my FREVILLEs? My gr-gr-grandfather
Charles Vulfranc (Villefranche?) FREVILLE married
Mary Victoria HUBERT, daughter of Jean-Pierre HUBERT
and Marie Elizabeth ANDRIN. All were from the Arlon
region of Belgium.
I also listed some allied families I'm looking for.
